Kanoodle Announces First Program to Pay Publishers for Cookie Distribution
Kanoodle Announces First Program to Pay Publishers for Cookie Distribution
Kanoodle's "BrightAds Cookies" Offers Additional Revenue Generator for Online Publishers and Enhances Kanoodle's Behavior Targeting Capabilities
NEW YORK, December 5, 2005 - Kanoodle, a leading provider of sponsored listings for content and search results pages, today announces the launch of BrightAds Cookies - the first self-service cookie distribution and monetization service for small- to medium-sized content publishers. This service is part of the Kanoodle BrightAds automated network for publishers, which already includes BrightAds Content - a monetization tool that maps and serves Kanoodle ads to publishers' content pages, and BrightAds RSS - a RSS feed distribution and monetization tool.Kanoodle BrightAds Cookies allows publishers to maximize their ability to monetize their sites and enhance their audiences' exposure to relevant ads. Through BrightAds Cookies, small- to medium-sized publishers will now be able to generate revenue simply by providing access to their high-quality audiences. This incremental revenue is quick and easy - once publishers sign up for the program, they add an invisible line of code to their site, which distributes Kanoodle's targeting cookies. Publishers that participate in the BrightAds Cookies program will be paid five percent of the revenue earned by every informed click that they deliver.
"While it is not uncommon for ad networks to distribute cookies through their network of publisher sites, Kanoodle is the only company to offer publishers the opportunity to get paid specifically for cookie distribution," said Doug Perlson, chief operating officer of Kanoodle. "By distributing more cookies across our network, Kanoodle is better able to fulfill the promise of behavior targeting - offering advertisers highly-targeted leads and serving the most relevant ads to consumers."
The cookies distributed via BrightAds Cookies will serve to increase the targeting of sponsored links across the Kanoodle network. The data expires after 30 days and is not used to collect any personally-identifiable information. To participate in the BrightAds Cookies program, publishers do not have to be running Kanoodle's sponsored links on their site.
To sign-up for BrightAds Cookies, visit www.kanoodle.com and click on "Partner with Kanoodle." For more information on Kanoodle, please visit www.kanoodle.com.
